Four Nigerians Selected as Rockefeller Foundation Changemakers

The Rockefeller Foundation announced the selection of four Nigerians among the inaugural class of its Africa Big Bet Fellowship, which includes ten changemakers from across Africa. This announcement was made during the second annual AfricaXchang event held in Nairobi, Kenya.

The fellowship aims to drive transformative change across the continent, focusing on energy access, food security, financial inclusion, healthcare, and climate resilience. The Nigerian fellows, Ad D J L W Nina Mbah and Stanlei Anigbogu, are recognized for their innovative approaches to improving access to fair credit and clean energy solutions.

Mbah's work focuses on connecting Nigerian communities with financial tools, while Anigbogu aims to establish solar power hubs in off-grid refugee communities. The fellowship, marking the 60th anniversary of the Rockefeller Foundation's South Africa office, will last five months and includes peer learning and access to a global network to help scale innovative solutions.
