Nexford Launches Fellowship for Young Nigerians' Education

Nexford University has introduced the NextGen Africa Workforce Fellowship, designed to offer affordable U.S.-accredited degrees and mentorship to young Nigerians. This initiative combines a fully online Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program with a mentorship network featuring respected African leaders and accomplished executives.

Notable mentors include a former vice president of the World Bank, a former minister of education, a former president of Mauritius, a former deputy president of South Africa, and a former executive director of UN Women. The fellowship aims to equip young Africans with relevant global skills and leadership exposure, aligning with the increasing demand for talent in an AI-driven global economy.

Nexford has committed $5 million to scholarships for the fellowship, significantly reducing participation costs to approximately $60 per month, ensuring that high-potential young Africans are not excluded due to financial barriers. By January 2025, Nexford plans to host a major graduation event in Lagos, celebrating the achievements of its graduates.
