Tinubu's Commitment to Modernizing Public Media at FRCN 75

On Wednesday, during the 75th anniversary celebration of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Minister of Information Mohammed Idris emphasized President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's commitment to modernizing public media. Idris noted that the Tinubu administration is focused on ensuring that no Nigerian is left uninformed, highlighting ongoing reforms within the sector.

He mentioned significant investments in infrastructure, including the introduction of new 50-kilowatt medium wave transmitters in Kaduna, Ibadan, Enugu, and Gwagwalada. The minister stated that FRCN will soon extend its leadership role in Nigeria's radio landscape, demonstrating the administration's dedication to modernizing public media.

He also pointed out that beyond infrastructure reform, the focus is on citizen engagement and strong media participation, which are essential for a thriving democracy. Idris described FRCN as a critical national institution that amplifies the voices of Nigerians and promotes constructive national dialogue.
