Free Nnamdi Kanu, even if it doesn’t make legal sense – Actor Bishop Umoh tells Tinubu govt

Nollywood actor Ime Bishop Umoh, popularly known as Okon Lagos, has called on the Federal Government to release detained IPOB leader Nnamdi Kanu, even if it may not make legal sense. Umoh made this plea on a recent episode of the Clarity Zone podcast, stating that releasing Kanu would be in the interest of peace and national reconciliation.

He argued that while it may not be legally justified, morally pardoning Kanu would be the right thing to do. Umoh emphasized that Kanu's agitation for Biafra secession is emotionally fueled by the perceived marginalization of the Igbos in Nigeria.

He believes that freeing Kanu should not only make legal sense but also moral and common sense. Umoh's stance on the issue reflects a growing sentiment that addressing the root causes of the agitation is crucial for national unity and peace.
