Atiku Urges Tinubu to Act on Recent Killings in Nigeria

Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of Nigeria, has called on President Bola Tinubu to move beyond rhetoric and take decisive action following a series of violent attacks in Nigeria, particularly in Plateau State. During a meeting at Yakubu Gowon Airport in Jos, where he met with families of victims from the Angwan Rukuba attack, Atiku urged Tinubu to keep his promise that such violence would not happen again.

Despite these assurances, less than 48 hours after the meeting, further killings occurred in Plateau and other states including Kaduna, Katsina, Benue, and Nasarawa. Atiku criticized the government's response, stating that the time for mere words has passed and that it is essential for the administration to protect lives and property.

He expressed concern over the ongoing threats to communities, highlighting the need for the government to act effectively to ensure the safety and welfare of its citizens.
