Tinubu Vows to Acquire Weapons Against Criminals

In a statement on Tuesday morning, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu addressed the recent killings in Nigeria, particularly in the Angwan Rukuba district of Plateau State and Kahir Community in Kaduna State. He condemned the attacks, labeling them as barbaric acts that would not go unpunished.

Tinubu assured Nigerians that the government is acquiring sophisticated equipment to enable security agencies to track and combat criminals effectively. He emphasized the importance of public cooperation in maintaining peace and protecting lives and property.

The President also urged the media to avoid spreading misinformation that could incite further violence. He commended the efforts of Governor Caleb Mutfwang of Plateau State and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State in managing the situation and supporting rescue operations.

Tinubu reaffirmed the commitment of security agencies to intensify their efforts in addressing the ongoing violence and ensuring the safety of citizens.
