Tinubu Intensifies Efforts Against Insecurity in Nigeria

During a meeting held in the United Kingdom, President Bola Tinubu declared that the government will intensify efforts to tackle insecurity challenges across various parts of Nigeria. He assured citizens of their safety and sought international support for military equipment to strengthen the fight against insecurity.

The meeting featured Vice President Kashim Shettima and 23 governors, including Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara State, who expressed gratitude for Tinubu's visionary leadership. Tinubu highlighted the impact of the Middle East crisis on inflation and urged state governors to remain resilient and provide incentives to cushion the effects on citizens.

He also discussed ongoing collaborations with French President Emmanuel Macron and emphasized the importance of a legislative framework for state policing. The meeting marked a significant step in enhancing Nigeria's relationship with the United Kingdom, the first such visit in 37 years, aiming to address insecurity and improve citizens' livelihoods.
