Star-Studded Cast for 'The Secret Lives of Baba Segi's Wives'

Ebonylif has unveiled the cast for the film adaptation of "The Secret Lives of Baba Segi’s Wives," a novel by Nigerian author Lola Shoneyin, originally published in 2010. This marks the first feature film adaptation of Shoneyin's acclaimed work.

The film, directed by Daniel Oriahi, will be released in December and features a star-studded ensemble led by Odunlade Adekola, who plays Baba Segi, the patriarch of a polygamous household. Other notable cast members include Mercy Aigbe as Iya Tope, Iyabo Ojo as Iya Segi, and Bimbo Ademoye as Iya Femi.

The story revolves around the dynamics of Baba Segi's household, which is disrupted by the arrival of a fourth wife, a university graduate, who uncovers dark secrets among the existing wives. The film promises a blend of humor and drama, exploring themes of power and survival within a patriarchal society.
