FRSC Launches Reforms to Restore Professionalism

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) is undertaking a reform initiative aimed at restoring its core values and professionalism in response to reports of unprofessional conduct by its personnel. Chichebem Onukwubiri, the Corps Marshal, addressed officers in Makurdi, emphasizing the need for sincere engagement and a commitment to listening and learning.

The reform is designed to strengthen the institution and reinforce its mandate to safeguard lives and property on the road. Kehind Dahunsi, the Benue sector commander, described the program as a strategic effort to enhance discipline and public confidence in the FRSC.

The initiative focuses on regular capacity uplift and maintaining professionalism among personnel, which is essential for ensuring safer roads across the country. The FRSC has historically been known for its friendly approach to road users, and the current reforms are seen as a turning point to rebuild public trust and address recent incidents of misconduct.
