FRSC and NGO Promote Civic Values in FCT Schools

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) collaborated with a non-governmental organization (NGO) to instill moral values and civic responsibility in students across the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja. This initiative took place at junior and senior secondary schools in Gwarimpa and Life Camp, Abuja.

The project coordinator, Chikezi Allwel Chinkata, emphasized the importance of moral and civic education in shaping responsible future citizens and curbing juvenile delinquency. The program included a series of lectures delivered to students on moral values, road safety, and general civic responsibilities.

Laraba J. Shanwa, representing the FRSC unit command in Life Camp, urged students to apply the road safety lessons learned and called on parents to set examples, particularly by discouraging underage driving and adhering strictly to traffic regulations.

David S. Peter, Deputy Route Command, expressed optimism that the initiative would help reduce accidents involving students.

The program recognized outstanding students, including Franci Nnananwa Nwachukwu and Ajayi Abubakar, who appreciated the support and motivation provided by the initiative.
