FRSC Achieves Zero Crashes on Abuja Kugbo Corridor

The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) announced a significant achievement of zero road traffic crashes involving articulated vehicles along the Kugbo outbound corridor in Abuja, following the commencement of an enforcement exercise on March 18, 2026. This initiative involved restricting the operation of 858 articulated trucks during peak hours as part of ongoing efforts to enhance road safety and traffic flow.

The Deputy Corps Commander and Public Education Officer at FRSC Headquarters, Osondu Ohaeri, emphasized that the exercise aligns with the FRSC's 2026 corporate strategic goal to drastically reduce road traffic crashes and improve safety outcomes nationwide. The enforcement strategy includes sustained coordination and real-time traffic management led by unit command RS7 and CRC WF Luka.

The FRSC's zero crash record reflects the effectiveness of restricting heavy-duty vehicles during peak traffic hours, and the Corps remains committed to ensuring safer roads across the Federal Capital Territory.
