Fulani part of Plateau indigenes – Gov Mutfwang’s aide

Special Adviser on Security to Plateau State Governor, Brigadier General Shipi (rtd), emphasized that the Fulani community is an integral part of Plateau State, dismissing claims to the contrary. He urged people to recognize the Fulani as indigenes of the state.

Speaking at a peace sensitization program in Jos, Shipi cautioned against bypassing state authorities when reporting incidents, emphasizing the importance of informing government representatives. He also warned against retaliatory violence, advocating for dialogue as a means to address the root causes of conflicts in the state.

Plateau Peace Building Agency's Julie Sanda echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the need for peaceful coexistence and economic development. She stressed the importance of inclusive dialogue and law enforcement to prevent individuals from taking the law into their own hands.
