INEC Lists 33 Candidates for Kaduna Senate Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a list of 33 candidates for the three senatorial seats in Kaduna State for the upcoming National Assembly elections scheduled for January 2027. The list, signed by Secretary Rose Oriaran-Anthony, includes prominent candidates such as former Kaduna State Governor Mukhtar Yero and former Senator Shehu Sani, both from the All Progressives Congress (APC).

In the Kaduna North Senatorial District, Yero will contest against incumbent Senator Khalid Ibrahim Mustapha of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In Kaduna Central, Shehu Sani challenges incumbent Senator Lawal Usman of the ADC, with additional candidates from various parties including the Action Democratic Party and the Peoples Democratic Party.

For Kaduna South, incumbent Senator Sunday Katung of the APC seeks re-election against several candidates, including Godfrey Gaiya of the ADC and others from different political parties. The final list details candidates' political affiliations, ages, genders, and qualifications.
