Nigeria Passport Rises in Global Ranking, 44 Countries Visa-Free for Nigerians

Nigeria's passport has moved up to the 89th position in the 2026 Henley Passport Index, granting Nigerians visa-free access to 44 destinations. Despite the improvement, Nigeria's passport remains limited internationally, with challenges in entry requirements to key destinations in North America and parts of Asia.

Seychelles and Mauritius continue to hold stronger passports in Africa. Singapore retains its position as the world's most powerful passport, offering visa-free access to 190 destinations.
