University of Ibadan Tops Nigeria's Best Universities in 2026 Rankings

Oyo State's University of Ibadan (UI) emerges as Nigeria's best university in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2026, reclaiming the top position it last held in 2023. The rankings, released recently, place UI at 801 globally, ahead of other leading Nigerian institutions like the University of Lagos and Bayero University Kano.
