In 2026, Mayo Clinic located in Rochester, Minnesota, has been ranked as the best hospital in the world. The ranking features ten hospitals from seven different countries, with the United States dominating the list with four entries.

Following Mayo Clinic, Toronto General Hospital, which operates under the University Health Network in Toronto, Canada, secured the second position, making it the highest-ranked non-American institution. Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, came in third, while Karolinska Universitetssjukhuset in Stockholm, Sweden, placed fourth.

Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts, ranked fifth, and The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland, was sixth. Israel's Sheba Center in Ramat Gan took the seventh spot, followed by Germany's Charité - Universitätsmedizin Berlin in eighth, Switzerland's Universitätsspital Zürich in ninth, and Singapore General Hospital rounded out the list at tenth, representing the only Asian entry.
