Concurrently, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is set to formally lodge a protest with FIFA regarding the alleged use of six ineligible players by the Democratic Republic of Congo during last year's African playoffs. NFF General Secretary Mohammed Sanusi emphasized that Nigeria followed due process in submitting legal arguments based on FIFA's rules concerning player eligibility.
