Tobi Makinde Avoids Choosing Between Akindele and Abraham

On 21 October 2026, actor and director Tobi Makinde participated in a rapid-fire interview that went viral, particularly for his refusal to choose between actresses Funke Akindele and Toyin Abraham. When asked about his preference, Makinde laughed and stated, "I can't answer that question." This moment became a focal point of the interview, which was shared widely on social media.

Throughout the session, Makinde was candid, choosing to forgo social media for a year over acting and expressing a preference for a private partner. He also opted for 100 million views over 100 million naira after a moment of contemplation.

The question regarding Akindele and Abraham carried additional weight due to recent speculation about Makinde's relationship with Akindele. He clarified that there was no animosity between them, attributing her absence from his recent projects to her commitments in promoting a film.

Makinde has credited Akindele as a key figure in his career development.
