FUOYE Appoints Professor Ogunwole Olalekan as New Vice Chancellor in Digitalized Selection Process

The Federal University Oye Ekiti (FUOYE) has appointed Professor Ogunwole Olalekan as its new Vice Chancellor after a thorough and digitalized selection process. The decision was announced by the Chairman of the Governing Council, Sen.

Victor Ndoma Egba, during an extraordinary council meeting held in Abuja. Professor Olalekan, a soil science expert, previously served as the Deputy Vice Chancellor for Strategic Partnerships, Research, and Innovation at the university.

The appointment marks the first fully digitalized online exercise in the Nigerian university system. The process involved 64 candidates, including two expatriates, with Olalekan emerging as the successful candidate.
