Soludo Advocates for United Nigeria at Adada Lecture

On Tuesday, during the 6th Biennial Adada Lecture organized by the Association Nsukka at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, Charles Soludo, the Governor of Anambra State, asserted that the future of the Igbo people lies in a united Nigeria. He called for a critical reassessment of the claims of marginalization and the desire for secession, questioning whether these claims are justified.

Soludo referenced global icons such as Isaac Newton, Nnamdi Azikiwe, and Kwame Nkrumah to illustrate that historical thinkers often acted rather than merely wrote. He challenged scholars to look inward and emphasized that intellectualism without action is sterile, urging a proactive approach to addressing the issues facing the Igbo community.
