Osimhen Set to Return for Istanbul Derby Against Fenerbahçe

Victor Osimhen, the Nigerian striker, is confirmed to return from injury just in time for the significant Istanbul derby against Fenerbahçe on April 26. Osimhen sustained a hand injury during Galatasaray's UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second leg defeat to Liverpool earlier in the month.

Following the injury, he underwent successful surgery at Maslak Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul on Monday. The club confirmed the procedure's success and that Osimhen would be discharged shortly.

Although he is expected to miss several matches, including Galatasaray's upcoming fixtures against Trabzonspor, Göztepe, and Kocaelispor, he aims to be fit for the high-stakes clash against Fenerbahçe. Ali Naci K, a reporter, stated that Osimhen assured Galatasaray's president, Dursun Özbek, that he would be ready for the derby.

Currently, Galatasaray leads the Super Lig table by four points, making this match potentially decisive for the title race.
