Osimhen Discharged After Surgery, Eyes Fenerbahçe Derby

Victor Osimhen, the 26-year-old Nigerian striker, has been discharged from the hospital following a successful three-hour surgery for a fractured arm. The procedure took place at Maslak Acibadem Hospital in Istanbul, performed by the medical director of Galatasaray, Yener Nace, alongside the medical team.

Initially, Osimhen received treatment in England before traveling to Turkey for further medical attention. Galatasaray's president, Dursun Özbek, visited Osimhen during his recovery and expressed confidence in the success of the operation, hoping for a swift return to the pitch.

Osimhen is targeting a return for the high-profile derby against Fenerbahçe, scheduled for April 26, although he is expected to be sidelined for at least one month. This means he will miss several domestic fixtures, including league matches against Trabzonspor, Göztepe, Kocaelispor, and a Turkish Cup clash against Gençlerbirliği.

Osimhen has had a strong season, scoring 19 goals and providing seven assists in 26 appearances for Galatasaray.
