Galatasaray's Victor Osimhen Out for Trabzonspor Match

Galatasaray announced that Victor Osimhen will miss their Super Lig match against Trabzonspor due to a groin injury he sustained during their 3-2 victory over Istanbul Basaksehir, where he left the pitch in the first half. His recovery was initially estimated at around three weeks.

Although he was included in the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming international break, he has not yet returned to full fitness. The Turkish champions officially ruled him out of the match alongside teammates Mario Lemina and Wilfried Singo.

In response to Osimhen's absence, Nigeria's head coach Chelle invited Akor Adams, Tolu Arokodare, and George Ilenikhena as additional forward options to ensure adequate coverage for the Super Eagles, who will face Madagascar and Guinea-Bissau in the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, as well as an international friendly against Russia.
