Gambian Lawmaker Urges Nigerian Senator's Recall Over Court Judgment Disobedience

Gambian lawmaker, Njai, demands the immediate recall of Nigerian Senator Natasha following the Senate's refusal to obey a Federal High Court judgment that voided the suspension of Kogi lawmaker, Justice Nyako. Despite the court ruling the suspension unconstitutional, Senator Natasha has been barred from entering the chamber since July 22.

Njai criticized the Senate for flouting the court judgment and violating legislative rights. Njai emphasized the importance of upholding democratic values and urged Nigerian lawmakers to respect the court's decision.

As a former ECOWAS Parliament member, Njai highlighted the significance of representation for women and youth across Africa. The call for compliance with the court order aims to uphold democratic principles and legislative duties.
