Ganduje Inspects Fire Damage at MMIA Terminal One

On Thursday, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the chairman of the board of directors of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), conducted an inspection of the damage inflicted by a fire at Terminal One of Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA) in Lagos.

During the assessment, Ganduje expressed that the fire incident raised significant concerns regarding safety for airport employees, passengers, and equipment, as well as the overall infrastructure. He praised the efforts of the managing director, Mr.

Olubunmi Kuku, and the firefighting team, who worked tirelessly to extinguish the fire, which lasted approximately 150 minutes. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported, and the situation was deemed under control.

Ganduje took the opportunity to discuss plans for remodeling the airport, highlighting the importance of quality work in enhancing the airport's aesthetics and functionality as part of broader aviation reforms in Nigeria.
