Ganduje Returns to Nigeria from UK Medical Trip

Former Kano State Governor and immediate past National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, has returned to Nigeria from a medical trip to the United Kingdom. Ganduje, who resigned from his position as APC chairman in June, arrived in the country on Wednesday morning after spending a month abroad.

His former Chief of Staff, Mohammed Garba, confirmed his return, stating that Ganduje had left Nigeria for London for a five-day medical treatment before stepping down from the APC leadership. Ganduje assumed the role of APC National Chairman in August 2023 and resigned on June 27, 2025, citing health concerns.

He was later inaugurated as the Chairman of the Board of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) on July 9. Former Minister of Humanitarian Affairs, Netanwe Yilwatda, has been appointed to succeed Ganduje as APC chairman.
