Garo to be Sworn in as Kano Deputy Governor on Tuesday

Garo will be sworn in as the Deputy Governor of Kano on Tuesday at 11:00 AM at the Coron Hall, Government House, Kano. This ceremony follows the resignation of former Deputy Governor Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, who stepped down on March 27, 2026, amid allegations of corruption and an impeachment notice from the Kano State House of Assembly.

Gwarzo's resignation was part of a political strategy as Governor Yusuf refused to decamp from the APC to the NNPP. Garo, who previously served as the Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs under Dr.
