Tinubu Congratulates Murtala Garo as Kano Deputy Governor

President Bola Tinubu congratulated Murtala Garo on his appointment as the new Deputy Governor of Kano State, which took place on Tuesday following the resignation of Aminu Gwarzo. In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu commended Governor Abba Yusuf for the appointment, describing it as a move to strengthen unity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State.

Tinubu expressed his wishes for Garo's success in his new role and called on stakeholders in the state to rally behind both the governor and the deputy governor to ensure effective governance. He urged Garo to work closely with Governor Yusuf to provide the necessary leadership to accelerate the development of Kano State.

Garo, who is 48 years old, has held several public offices, including serving as the chairman of Kabo Local Government Area and was the APC governorship running mate in the 2023 general elections.
