Bayelsa State Set for Economic Boom as Gas Turbine Installation Nears Completion

Bayelsa State's economy is set for a boost as the installation of a gas turbine reaches 85% completion. The project, upon commissioning, aims to attract investors back to the state and foster new business opportunities.

The Technical Adviser to the Governor on Media and Public Affairs, Mr. Wisdom Ikuli, revealed that the state has acquired eight gas turbine units, with six already installed and the remaining two expected soon.

The initiative is part of Governor Douye Diri's commitment to providing uninterrupted electricity by the end of 2025, which is expected to lead to a business boom in Bayelsa and attract more people to the state.
