Bayelsa State Signs Solar Panel Production Deal to Boost Renewable Energy Agenda

Bayelsa State achieved a milestone by signing a tripartite agreement with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and Jampur Group to set up a solar panel manufacturing plant. The deal, signed in Abuja during the Nigeria Renewable Energy Innovation Forum, involves the supply of 60MW gas turbines and aims to establish a 100MW renewable energy plant.

Governor Douye Diri represented the state, while key figures like Moham Shafiq and Kashim Shettima were present. The project is expected to commence immediately in Bayelsa, positioning the state as an industrial hub for renewable energy production.
