Gbajabiamila Defends Tinubu's Tough Economic Decisions

On Tuesday, Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, justified the tough decisions made by the Tinubu administration, stating they are necessary for the long-term stability of Nigeria's economy. Speaking at the State House in Abuja, he highlighted that the administration's policies reflect a willingness to confront difficult realities rather than seeking short-term political gains.

Gbajabiamila noted that these reforms, while challenging, are essential to address longstanding structural issues that have remained unresolved for years. He emphasized that true leadership requires making decisions that may not be immediately popular but ultimately benefit the nation's future.

He also welcomed the collaborative approach adopted by the Workers' Union of Nigeria (Wopu) and expressed confidence in the country's gradual movement towards a balanced and sustainable phase. William Akporeha, representing Wopu, reiterated the commitment of various stakeholders, including artisans and youth, to work towards building a stronger economy and improving public trust through sustained collaboration with the government.
