APC Chieftain Compares PFIPC Scandal to 9/11 Attacks

Dr. Taofiq Raimi, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), defended the Presidency by likening the PFIPC scandal to the September 11 terrorist attacks in the United States, suggesting that sophisticated crimes can happen anywhere, regardless of the nation's advancements.

His comments were made during a prime-time television appearance on Friday. Raimi argued that it is unfair to conclude that the incident reflects a failure of the Presidency, stating that criminal activities can evade detection even in advanced nations.

This defense comes amid controversy regarding Adeyemi Adeniyi Matthew, who has been alleged to have posed as the director-general of the non-existent President Foreign Intervention Promotion Council. Raimi referred to Matthew as an impostor and indicated that he should face criminal prosecution for his actions.
