Call for Investigation into Alleged PFIPC Fraud

Peter Ameh, the former chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), urged the National Assembly (NASS) and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to initiate a full-scale, unbiased investigation into the alleged fraudulent activities associated with the non-existent Presidential Foreign Intervention Promotion Council (PFIPC). Ameh's call, made in a press release on Friday, follows claims that funds from the federal government were siphoned through this purported agency.

He specifically mentioned that Femi Gbajabiamila, the Chief of Staff to President Tinubu, is reportedly a beneficiary of this scheme, which allegedly involves high-level actors within the presidential budget office. Ameh demanded Gbajabiamila's immediate resignation and emphasized the need for the anti-corruption agencies to investigate the matter without bias.

He pointed out that the 2026 budget included allocations for this non-existent agency, raising serious questions about the integrity of the budget process and potential criminal conspiracies at the highest levels of government.
