GCI Old Boys emerged as champions of the 2026 CCC League by defeating Rise Star Cricket Club by 117 runs in the final match held on Sunday at Tafawa Balewa Square Oval, Lagos. GCI Old Boys opted to bat first, setting a formidable target of 180 runs in their allotted 20 overs.

Captain Sylvest Okp played a pivotal role, scoring 86 runs off 46 balls, including nine fours and four sixes. He was well-supported by Vincent Adewoy, who contributed 55 runs off 32 deliveries.

In response, Rise Star Cricket Club struggled to build meaningful partnerships and ultimately collapsed for just 63 runs in 16.1 overs, with Chimezi Onwuzulik being the top scorer with a modest 14 runs off 13 balls. Okp further showcased his dominance by claiming four wickets, leading to a comprehensive victory for GCI Old Boys and securing the CCC League title, thereby ending Rise Star's reign and reinforcing GCI Old Boys' status as a leading team in Nigerian cricket.
