Oyede and Okpe Shine at Lagos Cricket League Awards

The 2025/26 Club Cricket Committee Lagos League concluded with notable performances from players such as Leke Oyede and Sylvester Okpe, who received individual awards. Oyede, a current captain, was distinguished as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) alongside his team’s technical crew.

The Premier League division was won by the Old Boys Association Cricket Club, while Ughelli Cricket Club claimed the Division One title. In the women's league, Eboka Teniola from Warrior Cricket Club emerged as a standout performer, winning the MVP, Best Bowler, and Best Batter awards.

Other notable mentions include Temitop Onikoyi from Pathfind Cricket Club as Best Fielder and Usman Adebiyi from Rock Abeokuta Cricket Club as Best Batter in Division One. The event was praised by stakeholders including Uyi Akpata, President of the Nigeria Cricket Federation, and Charl Omoiera, Chairman of the Lagos State Cricket Association, who acknowledged the league's organizational quality and pledged continued support from Sterling Bank.
