German Gov’t, Care Nigeria, WFP Empower Yobe Households

The German Government, Care Nigeria, and WFP collaborate to empower 6,389 households in Yobe through the Resilience Social Cohesion Peace Project. The initiative aims to restore essential services, rebuild livelihoods, and drive sustainable transformation in the state.

Care Nigeria's Area Manager, Abatcha Abubakar, highlighted the project's focus on agriculture, providing training, crop processing machines, and stipends to improve livelihoods. Funded by the German Government and in partnership with WFP, UNICEF, and Care Nigeria, the project targets increased productivity and revenue for smallholder farmers.

By enhancing access to financial services and promoting crop production initiatives, the project seeks to improve economic status and resilience among participants.
