UNICEF, EU, ILO Launch €13m Social Protection Project in Nigeria

UNICEF, EU, and ILO launched a €13m project in Nigeria to enhance social protection systems, reduce poverty, and promote inclusive growth. The Supporting Sustainable Social Protection System in Nigeria (SUSI) initiative will run until 2027, focusing on Abia State initially.

The project aims to strengthen social safety nets, ensuring vulnerable families and children are not left behind. The collaboration between UNICEF, EU, ILO, and the Nigerian government aims to build resilience and reduce inequality through social protection measures.
