Ghana's Inflation Rate Drops to 8.0% in October, Food Costs Ease

Ghana's inflation rate decreased to 8.0% in October 2025, the lowest level recorded since June 2021. The Ghana Statistical Service announced this development, attributing it to sustained efforts to tame inflationary pressures amidst global supply shocks.

Food prices saw a notable slowdown, with a 9.5% year-on-year decrease in October compared to 11.8% in September. The overall deflationary trend was driven by falling food prices and declining non-food inflation, contributing to a more stable economic environment in Ghana.
