Kudus Faces Injury Doubt for 2026 World Cup Participation

Mohammed Kudus, a 25-year-old Ghanaian forward who joined Tottenham Hotspur in 2025, is facing a setback that casts doubt on his participation in the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Reports indicate that Kudus has suffered a relapse of a quad and hamstring injury that previously kept him sidelined since January.

Medical assessments suggest that surgery may be necessary, which could rule him out for the remainder of the season and threaten his chance to represent the Ghana National Football Team in the World Cup. Kudus has been a key player for both his club and country, contributing significantly to Ghana's qualification campaign.

The injury was sustained during a Premier League fixture against Sunderland AFC in January. Although he recently returned to team training, further specialist review is required.
