Ghana Secures Spot in 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup

Ghana's U20 Women's National Team qualified for the 2026 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup following a 1-1 draw against Uganda. The match saw Uganda take an early lead with a goal from Sylvia Kaben.

Ghana faced additional challenges when Margaret Agyapomaa was sent off with twenty minutes remaining, leaving the team with ten players. However, captain Linda Owusu delivered a superb free kick into the top corner, equalizing the score and silencing the home crowd.

Despite late pressure from Uganda, Ghana held firm to secure the crucial draw, marking their eighth appearance in the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
