Senior UN officials, including Tom Fletcher, highlighted the dire humanitarian consequences, with vast resources being diverted to war efforts while humanitarian needs elsewhere remain underfunded. The conflict is also affecting global trade routes, particularly in the Strait of Hormuz, through which approximately 20% of the world's oil passes.

Iran's permanent representative to the UN, Amir Iravani, asserted that Iran does not seek war but will defend its sovereignty. The situation continues to deteriorate, with humanitarian conditions worsening across the region, particularly in Lebanon and Gaza, amid ongoing airstrikes and military actions.
