Lagos State and NATOP Collaborate to Boost Tourism

Gloria Abiodun, Chief Executive Officer of Clyymaxx Heritage Travel Tour Limited, announced a collaboration between NATOP and the Lagos State Government aimed at enhancing the travel and tourism sector. During the 2026 Annual General Meeting hosted in Lagos, Abiodun expressed gratitude to Bolaji Mustapha, Executive Secretary of NATOP, and Toke Benson-Awoyinka, Commissioner for Tourism, Arts, and Culture in Lagos State, for their contributions.

The partnership is expected to significantly impact the tourism sector, with an estimated economic contribution of ₦396.54 billion, approximately $250 million. Abiodun emphasized the need for affordable travel packages and the promotion of Nigeria's tourist sites, noting the challenges of security and accessibility for foreign tourists.

She highlighted various tourist attractions across Nigeria, including Ikogosi Warm Spring Resort, Ojukwu Bunker, and Obudu Ranch, and stressed the importance of improving the travel experience for both inbound and outbound tourists.
