Mo Abudu Refuses to Dance for Movie Promotion, Cites Strengths Misalignment

Media mogul Mo Abudu, speaking at a Lagos business film summit, expressed her reluctance to promote movies through dancing videos, stating that it does not align with her strengths. Abudu commended popular filmmakers Funk Akindel and Toyin Abraham for their energetic dance routines to draw larger audiences to cinemas.

She emphasized the importance of understanding individual strengths, audience tastes, and market demands in the film industry. Abudu highlighted the need for a personalized approach to film promotion, acknowledging that there is no single formula for box office success.

She clarified that while she respects dance as a promotional method, she prefers not to personally engage in such activities and has delegated that task to her team.
