Adebayo Critiques Tinubu's Election as Divine Lesson

Adebayo, the presidential candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the 2023 general elections, expressed concerns regarding the election of Tinubu, describing it as a lesson from God for Nigerians. Speaking at a Ramadan iftar organized by the Aafaq Foundation in Kano, he urged citizens to deeply reflect on the state of the nation and embrace justice.

Adebayo cautioned against interpreting Tinubu's presidency as a divine favor, insisting it should serve as a wake-up call for national rebirth. He also criticized the controversial Muslim-Muslim ticket that featured prominently in the 2023 elections, emphasizing that justice and unity should outweigh religious and ethnic considerations in leadership selection.

Additionally, Adebayo condemned ongoing global conflicts, particularly the tensions between Israel and Iran, and called for Nigerian leaders to boldly address injustices both domestically and on the global stage. Earlier that day, he paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former Kano State Governor Ibrahim Shekarau, reflecting on genuine brotherhood beyond partisan lines.
