North-East to Support Tinubu in 2027 Elections, Says Ndume

On Saturday, Senator Ali Ndume announced that the North-East region will reciprocate President Bola Tinubu's infrastructural reforms with significant votes in the 2027 general elections. This statement followed the flag-off of the reconstruction of the 125-kilometer Gombe-Biu Highway.

Ndume praised Tinubu and Minister of Works David Umahi for their commitment to improving the road's condition, which has been a concern since 2019. The Gombe-Biu road is strategically important for economic integration and security operations in the region.

Ndume referenced previous engagements with the Ministry of Works and highlighted the urgent need for infrastructure development in the area, particularly the Gombe-Biu corridor. The project, valued at ₦1.245 trillion, was approved by the Federal Executive Council and is part of a broader strategy to enhance national road infrastructure through tax credits and other financing frameworks.

Ndume expressed confidence that the people of the North-East would appreciate this initiative and reward Tinubu with their votes in the upcoming elections.
