Ndume Praises Tinubu for Gombe-Biu Highway Project

Senator Ali Ndume commended President Bola Tinubu for his commitment to the reconstruction of the Gombe-Biu Highway, a significant infrastructure project valued at ₦1.245 trillion, which was flagged off on Thursday in Gombe State. The event was attended by Gombe State Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, Minister of Works David Umahi, and Hi-Tech Construction Company Managing Director Danni Abboud.

Ndume noted that the project would benefit the people of northeastern Nigeria, particularly in Borno State. He recalled previous efforts to draw federal attention to the road's poor condition, which faced resistance from high quarters.

The project is part of a broader strategy to enhance economic integration and security in the region. Ndume expressed hope that the rehabilitation of the road would unlock economic opportunities and improve the quality of life for Nigerians, urging Tinubu to extend the road network further to promote inter-country trade and combat insecurity.
