Inuwa Yahaya Blocks Goje, Endorses Gwamna for APC Candidacy

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya has officially blocked Danjuma Goje from obtaining the Senate ticket, endorsing Jamilu Isyaku Gwamna as the All Progressives Congress (APC) consensus candidate for the 2027 governorship election. This decision was announced during a stakeholders' meeting, reflecting the long-standing political clash between Yahaya and Goje.

The governor's announcement comes as the party released a list of consensus candidates for various positions, including Moham Ahmadu Deba for Gombe Central Senate and Jerri Damara for Gombe South. Inuwa Yahaya is set to run for Gombe North Senate, while other House of Representatives candidates include Usman Bello Kumo and Garba Yamaltu.

Danjuma Goje, a four-term senator, recently sought an automatic ticket from President Bola Tinubu, which was reportedly denied. Additionally, Goje's camp has responded to the circulation of a fake ADC membership card, asserting that it is an attempt to tarnish his image while he remains committed to promoting APC ideals across Gombe State.
