Gombe State and UNICEF Partner to Enroll Out-of-School Children, Aims for 50% Reduction

Gombe State, in collaboration with UNICEF, has launched a campaign to enroll out-of-school children, aiming to reduce the number by 50% by 2030. The initiative involves the State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB) and Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC) targeting 11 Local Government Areas (LGAs) to enroll a set number of pupils.

The campaign seeks to raise awareness, foster collaboration, and create a conducive environment for children to return to school. With an estimated million out-of-school children in Gombe State alone, the drive is crucial for improving education access and quality in the region.
