UNICEF and Community Leaders Tackle Out-of-School Children in Sokoto

In Sokoto, the United Nations Children Fund (UNICEF) and community leaders are collaborating to address the issue of out-of-school children. During a visit to SKS Model Primary School in Yabo, stakeholders pledged to sustain enrollment and improve learning outcomes.

UNICEF Country Representative Wafa Said commended the efforts to boost enrollment but expressed concerns about the number of children still out of school due to poverty and lack of parental awareness. Community leaders highlighted the challenges of keeping children in school and emphasized the importance of education through religious teachings and community support.
