Nigerians Embrace AI for Creative Skills Growth

Google has released data indicating a significant trend among Nigerians in utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance their creative skills. The report highlights that interest in learning artistic skills has surged, with searches for painting increasing by 90% over the past year.

Calligraphy has emerged as a breakout trend, and searches for learning musical instruments, such as guitar, have risen by 80%. The data also shows a 130% increase in interest in learning Italian and a doubling of interest in Japanese.

Mr. Taiwo Kola Ogunlade from Google noted that Nigerians are purposefully using AI to unlock new opportunities for personal growth and creative expression.

The report emphasizes that the digital economy is thriving, with every dollar invested in technology yielding an eight-dollar return. Additionally, AI literacy has grown by 840%, and Nigerians are reportedly saving 22 million hours weekly through the use of technology, which translates to improved productivity across the nation.
